Sean O’Neill
Strategy Consultant
Sean was most recently the Chief Strategy Officer for Education Forward DC. In this role, he led the organization's planning and evaluation efforts, including the development of a five-year strategic plan for a $62M philanthropic fund. Prior to joining Education Forward DC, Sean worked as an Associate Program Officer for the Kresge Foundation’s American Cities Practice, where he supported community development grantmaking in cities across the country. Previously, he led the Talent Management strategy team for Denver Public Schools, where he focused on developing and implementing teacher retention and compensation strategies. Earlier in his career, he worked as a consultant for the DC office of the Boston Consulting Group and as a Development Specialist for the Brookings Institution’s Metropolitan Policy Program. Sean earned a B.S. in Hospitality Administration from Cornell University, an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia, and an M.Ed. as part of his participation in the Broad Residency in Urban Education. He serves as a board member and the treasurer for the nonprofit EmpowerK12.
