Laura Maurizi
Data and Research Consultant
Laura collaborates with a range of education and workforce organizations to support their strategic data use, focusing on end-to-end business process improvement including data collection, validation, transformation, standardization, and reporting. She has more than 15 years of data analysis and systems experience including expertise in a broad array of research methodologies focusing on experimental design and quasi-experimental design. During her career, she has collaborated closely with data management, data applications, and data governance teams to drive improvements and increase efficiency in data collection, validation, standardization, and reporting processes and protocols. Laura also has experience leading community-based data collection efforts, including survey instrument development and execution of focus groups and interviews. In her previous role, Laura served as the Director of Research, Analysis, and Reporting for the Office of the State Superintendent of Education in DC where she supervised a team of 18 data analysts and managers. Laura has an M.A. in Social Work and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.
